Terms & Conditions

The rental contract is concluded between SAZSS s.r.o. (“Scootax”, “we”) and the Renter (“you”). By completing a booking, signing the rental contract and paying the rental amount and deposit, the Renter confirms acceptance of these Terms.

The Renter must (a) be at least 18 years old for scooters and at least 21 years old for cars; (b) hold a valid driving licence of the appropriate category, valid in the Slovak Republic; (c) present a valid identity document; (d) provide a payment method in their own name.

The rental period and applicable rate (Daily / Weekly / Monthly, Public or Courier) are confirmed in the booking summary and contract. The total rental amount is calculated as the selected rate × number of selected units (days / weeks / months). The refundable security deposit is shown separately and is not part of the rental price.

The rental amount and the security deposit are due before vehicle handover. The deposit is refunded after return of the vehicle in the same condition as handed over, subject to deductions for damage, missing items, traffic fines, tolls, cleaning, fuel/charge difference, or any other amount permitted under these Terms.

The Renter agrees to use the vehicle only for lawful purposes, in accordance with the Road Traffic Act of the Slovak Republic, and within the territory of the European Union unless otherwise agreed in writing. The vehicle may not be (a) sub-rented; (b) used in racing, off-road, or commercial driver-training activity; (c) used to transport hazardous goods; (d) operated under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication impairing driving ability.

The vehicle is covered by compulsory third-party liability insurance (PZP) during the rental period. PZP covers liability for damage caused to third parties. Damage to the rented vehicle itself is not covered unless separately agreed in writing. Details of the insurer and emergency contacts are provided with the booking confirmation.

The Renter must (a) immediately notify Scootax of any accident, damage, breakdown or theft; (b) call the police in the event of an accident or theft and obtain an official report; (c) cooperate with the insurer and Scootax in any subsequent investigation. Failure to do so may result in loss of insurance coverage and full liability of the Renter.

The Renter is responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, tolls and similar charges incurred during the rental period. Scootax is entitled to deduct such amounts from the deposit or invoice them to the Renter, together with an administrative handling fee.

Scootax may terminate the rental with immediate effect and recover the vehicle if the Renter breaches these Terms, provides false information, or if continued rental would create risk to the vehicle or third parties.

The rental contract and these Terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic.
